Why birds and parrots need fabric perches

Birds are on thier feet 24/7 unless in flight. Booda rope or fabric bird cage perches are ideal for birds to sleep on. Birds have a “flexor tendon” that enables their foot to grab a perch like a vice. That’s why bird can sleep for hours upright on one foot. And if you think about it, wrapping that foot around a soft material versus a hard wood with knots and crevices makes sense doesn’t it?
